We have been very lucky in life for countless reasons. A year ago, Mike and Shelly froze our wedding in time with images we will never forget. This year, after seven years of sharing great adventures, they got married in the most unique way as only they could. In the heart of the Black Hills, surrounded by love, nature, we felt lucky to be a part of their lives that day!
We just shot our first Cape Cod wedding at the Pamet Harbor Yatch and Tennis Club and it was such an idyllic one. Beach chic garb was mandatory and a perfect fit for the raw oyster bar and sipping on mint juleps! We shot some oysters, we shot some film, we shot some amazing moments thanks so much for having us!
De paseo en Los Angeles
We are always so grateful to find couples that become fast friends and inspire us so much.
When this amazing couple hired us to come out west from Boston to have a very Angelino photo shoot we were so pumped! She is a fashion designer for Forever21 and he’s an urban developer out of Downtown LA. We strolled around historic landmarks of the city of Los Angeles and got to know them through their deep connection with their hometown.
It was so much fun to experience the city through their eyes with a great sense of fashion and architecture and so true and in tune with each other. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding this fall and experience Mexico with them “San Miguel MDCL wedding style!”, and of course, see her rocking her self-designed wedding dress!

MDCL has a new toy to take for a spin! This old beauty was just restored by us and we are ready to start using it this season! It is a 4x5in slr film camera, built in 1932. This will make portraits of ya’ll on your wedding day that guaranteed no one else will have! We cant wait to shoot it! Below is a photograph made of Cris and I, by our great friend Mike Sakas on our wedding day with the same kind of camera! Now we are off to shoot his wedding in the Blackhills, SD in July!
A few of our favorites… We always love making unique one of a kind portraits, and with grooms we are always looking for that perfect “in between” moment, right before the first look and the ceremony, when the fun is about to start… watch out for our camera!
We feel so lucky to have arrived into an incredibly welcoming photo community since we came to Boston. Last February, Michael was invited to lecture and mentor industry photographers at Inspire Photo Seminars where he gave a talk: “Finding Your Personal Vision”. It was great being a part of this awesome event, and sharing creative energy with all of this wonderful people. Thanks to the Inspire Team for the hard work creating these opportunities! Now our first winter is almost through and we are warming up for it what looks like will be an exciting wedding season! and can’t wait until Inspire 2014, I sure won’t miss it again!
MDCL Weddings is so excited to have had our work published in the Knot Australia Edition!! The Wedding took place at Hacienda Las Trancas in San Miguel Mexico, what a beautiful location and couple, thanks so much for having us!! View full wedding here]]>
You are five! Your aunt is marrying her cool boyfriend, and you are invited to their wedding! You have no idea what the commotion in the family is all about, the dresses, the suits, the flowers and the food, and so many people. You get to wear a dress that is from a fairy tale, you try it on, it’s itchy at first, but then you start spinning, and you become a swirl within it, the ceremony is about to start, you walk down the aisle, every one gazes and smiles while you walk.
While the guys get ready, you and your brothers find a nook behind the door where you can watch what are those black suits and ties are about, but wait, you don’t have to hide, you are invited in, you are allowed into the mysterious grown up world, you think it can’t possibly last, but it does. You are have full access to every part of the party, you are the king on the dance floor, you dance the couples dance, you eat so many desserts your stomach can’t take more, but no one seems to stop you, and there is no curfew! It is one of the happiest days in your childhood, remember it as grand, we are grateful we witnessed it!
Max and Jamie’s wedding was a wonderful romantic celebration, and the Hacienda Las Trancas in Mexico was the perfect place for such an intimate and meaningful Wedding. They chose to share this day with only 23 of their closest friends and family. All the little details in their wedding were carefully and lovingly planned; the selection of ceremony readings, the music, a very special dinner where everyone gathered around the same table to exchange great stories, and romantic dancing in the rain at the Hacienda’s courtyard! It’s a privilege to be around families, quite frankly, this kick ass and awesome! A well deserved happy ending to a beautiful love story! Max and Jamie, thanks for having us be a part of this very unique day!
Rita & Evan’s wedding at the Lincoln Family Home, Hildene, in Vermont, was by far one of our most fun ones to shoot this past summer. They had a perfect summer sunny day, great friends, a wonderful and welcoming family and a great DJ, DJ Joe Maz who came all the day from Miami to rock this party. We tried to stay off of the dance floor but there was just not way to stay still with such good tunes!. We thank the wonderful staff at Hildene who were so helpful and friendly and gave us access to every area of this fantastic historical venue. One thing is for sure, this pair is up for many years ahead of fun and love!
